A Native Hawaiian mama-scholar, Dr. Vogel currently works at Hawaii Community College supporting survivors of sexual and relationship violence. She focuses her spare time on democratizing sexuality education through speaking engagements, presentations, research, and hosting her podcast Ladybits and Leadership. Dr. Vogel recently became a certified sexuality educator and looks forward to using her four months on the Fulbright at VIU to build sexuality education curriculum and record and publish a limited-series podcast called, Ancestral Orgasms, highlighting Indigenous voices telling stories about power, pleasure, sexuality, and joy. Her goal is to decolonize and reindigenize sexuality education, so that Indigneous people, can build better, healthier relationships with their bodies and sexuality.
