I am looking forward to welcoming you all to VIU! This year is especially exciting as we will be welcoming more new students to campus than ever before. We not only have our first-year students joining us, but also many of our second-year students are joining us on campus for the first time!
As we transition back to a new sense of normal, we want to remind you of all the services that are available to you on campus and in a virtual environment:
- The Health and Wellness Centre, where you can access Counselling services and the Student Health Clinic
- Financial Aid, Awards and Bursaries
- Accessibility Services
- Assessment and Exam Invigilation Services
You will also want to check out the many ways to get involved, meet new people and start expanding your circle of friends. Becoming involved in campus life and/or participating in work-integrated learning opportunities is a great way to build your resume and skills toolkit too!
- Learn more about work opportunities at the Centre for Experiential Learning
- Check out the ways to be involved in various on-campus events and groups through our Office of Co-Curricular Engagement and Learning
- Find out more about your Student Union and maybe join/start a club?
- Take advantage of the fun activities organized by Recreation and Athletics
Check out our complete list of Services for Student Success and start engaging!
We are so eager to welcome you back on campus in a variety of ways. You may find that your schedule requires you to be on campus in a face-to-face environment daily, or your schedule may be a bit of a hybrid (some classes online, some face-to-face) or you may be in a completely virtual learning environment. Regardless of your personal schedule, we will meet you where you are.
I look forward to meeting you in the fall!
