Philosophy Café is a space for the friendly discussion and clarification of ideas. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

Many people have observed that our lives are like books, as they contain the literary roles of creator, protagonist, editor and reviewer. We may find a deeper understanding of our lives through the lens of literary genres.

Carol Matthews, writer and former VIU dean, will open a discussion about how literature helps us to know and reflect on our individual lives.

(Coffee will be served, and to conserve paper, Philosophy Café is transitioning to BYOM [bring-your-own-mug].)
