God comes to earth in search of one good person and encounters Chantel, a destitute teen aged hooker who offers them a bed for the night. Her good deed is rewarded when a client bequeaths her enough money to buy The Everyman Tavern. Chantel’s intentions to turn a profit and support charitable deeds are soon overwhelmed by creditors, people seeking assistance and those willing to take advantage of her good nature. Out of desperation she invents the alter ego of a business savvy cousin, Chandler, to deal with the tough side of the business. Chantel struggles to maintain her moral standards while Chandler navigates in a corrupt society. Together Chantel and Chandler encounter swindlers, lovers, the media, and the law as they attempt to succeed in a world that isn’t fair.
