Make Your Sign on April 1 to Take Back the Night on April 2!
Tues. April 1, 11 am-1 pm Upper Quad, VIU (Nanaimo Campus)
VIU Faculty Association's Women's and Gender Equity Committee and VIU Thrive are teaming up to provide sign-making supplies so that you can make your sign before you march to Take Back the Night! This is a great opportunity to meet community members who who advocate for change. Everyone is welcome. Supplies available until they run out.
Why Make Signs?
Background: On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 5 pm-7pm, we are all called to take part in a march to Take Back the Night. This march is part of a longstanding international movement to end sexual violence. The march will begin at Beban Park and end at Haven Society Community Services Building.
