Fighting for Justice exhibit and book display in the library

As part of Asian Heritage Month activities, VIU’s Nanaimo campus library is hosting the Fighting for Justice exhibit and a book display to accompany the exhibit. Both the exhibit and book display are up for the month of May.

Fighting for Justice is a travelling banner exhibit developed by VIU, the University of Victoria and the Cowichan Valley Museum & Archives. It personalizes more than 150 years of history from the perspective of First Nations communities, Asian Canadians and their allies on Vancouver Island, who fought for justice in the face of colonial dispossession and racist exclusions. The book display will include titles that relate to the exhibit as well as broader titles for Asian Heritage Month and both will be up until the end of the month.
