He is the author of two college-level textbooks and “A Brief History of the Earth’s Climate”. He lives on Gabriola Island, where he is active in a number of organizations that are focused on limiting our climate impacts. + image of book Dr. Jessica Stanley is a mother of 3, a farmer, and a School Trustee for Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools (NLPS). She has a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Simon Fraser University and applies her academic skills in evidence-based decision making and policy development. She has been a life-long advocate for the environment and is currently the Chair of the NLPS Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability Advisory Committee and a member of the Standing Committee on the Environment and Economy for the NDP.
