The Deep Bay Marine Field station is Vancouver Island University's marine biology research facility in Bowser, BC. It is open daily to the public from Saturday 16 May to Sunday 30 August, 2026, from 10am to 4pm, including holidays.
Visit that station to get a sneak peek into the aquaculture research labs, do marine activities and view exhibits including whale skeletons, aquaria, microscope station and shell displays, and the always popular touch tanks.
The new Baynes Sound - Signs of Life, Signs of Change exhibit opens June 24.
Admission is $13 for adults, $7 for youth and VIU Students, and free for children 5 and under.
