The VIU Theatre Department is thrilled to invite you to our upcoming production of the timeless classic, Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand.

Step into a world of panache, poetry, and heartbreaking longing. Cyrano is a brilliant poet and a fearsome duelist, but he is convinced that his oversized nose makes him unworthy of the woman he loves, the beautiful Roxane. When he agrees to help a handsome but tongue-tied young soldier woo her, a legendary tale of sacrifice and secret love begins

Witness the swashbuckling Cyrano de Bergerac, a brilliant poet and formidable swordsman cursed with a nose as grand as his heart. He burns with love for the radiant Roxane, but his perceived ugliness keeps his feelings locked away.

When the handsome but tongue-tied Christian captures Roxane's attention, Cyrano, in a selfless act of devotion, lends his eloquent words to woo her. Experience the intoxicating power of Cyrano's passionate verses as they ignite a romance, all while he silently yearns.

Will Roxane ever discover the true source of the poetic fire that has captured her heart? Prepare for a poignant and thrilling journey filled with dazzling wordplay, breathtaking sword fights, and a love story that transcends appearances.
