Join us for the inaugural event of the new Community Partners Connection series, aimed at collaboration and learning between VIU and key partner organizations in our region.
In this session, we will have the opportunity to hear about the work of Island Coastal Economic Trust (ICET), a regionally based partner focused on the sustainable economic development of Island and Coastal Communities. ICET is currently moving towards a ground-breaking model of co-governance with First Nations.
Our speaker will be Brodie Guy, the Chief Executive Officer of ICET. He brings expertise in sustainable development and environmental stewardship, and a passion for indigenous led conservation and development.
This session will be open to the entire University community.
